Pulmonary tuberculosis is a lung infection caused by the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The infection can damage the lungs and other parts of the body. Symptoms of pulmonary tuberculosis include coughing, chest pain, shortness of breath, and fever. The disease is often treated with antibiotics.
