Gallstones

Gallstones are a common health problem that can occur when bile stored in the gallbladder hardens into stones. Gallstones may remain in the gallbladder without causing any problems, or they may move into the bile ducts and cause pain, nausea, and vomiting. Treatment for gallstones depends on the symptoms they are causing. If gallstones are causing pain, surgery may be needed to remove them.
