Esophageal Cancer

Esophageal cancer is a type of cancer that starts in the esophagus, the tube that carries food and liquids from your mouth to your stomach. Esophageal cancer is a rare type of cancer, accounting for less than 1% of all cancers in the United States. Esophageal cancer can occur in any part of the esophagus but is most common in the upper or middle part of the esophagus.
